48 port campus switch with stacking and PoE
The UniFi Enterprise Campus 48S PoE connects the access layer of large networks: 32 ports with 2.5 GbE, 16 ports with 10 GbE as well as separate connections for uplinks and stacking.

The selection depends on your use. Performance values are manufacturer information and are not guaranteed performance for every configuration.
The 16 10-GbE ports, for example, fit powerful access points. 32 additional ports offer 2.5 GbE for workstations and other devices. All 48 support up to PoE+++; the common electricity budget sets additional limits.
Four SFP28 ports connect the access level to the higher-level network. Two QSFP28 connectors are for 100G stacking. This requires suitable cables and a coordinated ring. Currently, a maximum of four ECS-S switches are planned per stack.
In redundant mode, planning is carried out so that sufficient power remains if a power supply fails. The usable PoE budget for 200–240 is V 950 W. The higher shared mode specification may not be used as the budget for outage operation.
Inter-VLAN routing can route traffic between local networks on the switch. This does not replace a suitable firewall strategy: access rules must also be consciously planned for locally routed traffic.
A planning example uses 12 ports for E7 main connections and 24 for workstations: 36 of 48 access ports are occupied. The E7 backup cables go to another switch. Four switches form a ring; twelve switches are planned as three stacks of four. Additionally, PoE budget, uplinks, separate current paths and failure tests are specified.
The specific equipment is checked on site based on the requirements.
The Pro Max 16 PoE is a more compact alternative for smaller port numbers. However, it does not offer the same 10-GbE port range, ECS-S stacking or two interchangeable power supplies.
