The UniFi Enterprise Firewall EFG focuses on network and security operations at large locations. It offers fast interfaces and two power supplies that can be replaced during operation.

Replaceable power supplies support operation in the event of a power supply problem. A second EFG is required for gateway failover. Separate current paths and suitable WAN connections turn the individual functions into a coherent availability concept.
A VLAN logically separates devices, such as guests and workstations. The rules determine which communication is permitted between the networks. A separately named WLAN alone is not a complete security concept.
Two EFG are planned as a gateway pair. Each firewall receives the necessary Internet and LAN connections. During acceptance, provider, gateway and power outages are simulated separately. If necessary, video recording runs on a separate platform.
The specific equipment is checked on site based on the requirements.
The Enterprise Firewall Core expands interface and protection performance for very large requirements. The EFG may be sufficient for many large locations.

We plan firewall rules, network segmentation, VPN and high availability. Gateway failover requires two devices of the same model.
Internet speed, VPN connections, activated IDS/IPS features and additional applications are dimensioned together. A single gateway is not a fully redundant solution. Optional CyberSecure subscriptions are not included in the hardware price.
