The technology of the UniFi 5G Max explained
SIM concept and data volume
The device supports Nano-SIM and eSIM configurations according to the manufacturer. Tariff, activation and usage costs are selected separately. Multiple SIM options does not mean two independent modems.
PoE and LAN integration
Power comes via PoE. The location must provide both a suitable network connection and usable cell phone reception. After setup, failover and return to mainline are tested.

A small business keeps important cloud applications accessible via mobile communications in the event of a landline network failure. During the backup, large downloads are limited so that the available data volume and bandwidth are sufficient for operation.
The specific equipment is checked on site based on the requirements.
When does a different model make sense?
A WAN Switch distributes a provider handover to gateways. The 5G Max provides additional access via the mobile network.

Are the mobile phone contract and SIM included in the guide price?
No. Tariff and SIM/eSIM are agreed separately. Before ordering, network coverage, data volume and desired usage are checked.
Does Irontec support planning and setup in Switzerland?
We clarify the deployment, select the additional infrastructure and agree on setup, documentation and ongoing support. Hardware and services are clearly listed in the offer.

Plan and operate appropriately
This component is part of a planned overall topology. We tailor connections, current paths and failure tests to the location.
We check port occupancy and power budget based on the connected devices. Redundancy requires suitable remote stations and separate power and connection paths.
