The central task is network operation. Cameras require a separate suitable Protect platform. This allows the responsibility of the gateway and video recording to be clearly separated.
A VLAN logically separates devices, such as guests and workstations. The rules determine which communication is permitted between the networks. A separately named WLAN alone is not a complete security concept.
Workstations, guest WiFi and simple network devices receive separate networks. The gateway regulates access to the Internet and between areas. The internet line is selected to match the required protection performance.
The specific equipment is checked on site based on the requirements.
The Cloud Gateway Max offers more protection throughput and additional UniFi applications, in the variant offered here with 512 GB memory.

We set up firewall rules, separate networks, VPN and internet failover according to your needs. The required power also depends on active protection functions.
Internet speed, VPN connections, activated IDS/IPS features and additional applications are dimensioned together. A single gateway is not a fully redundant solution. Optional CyberSecure subscriptions are not included in the hardware price.
