52 W as a common budget
The power budget applies to all connected PoE devices combined. Four PoE+ ports therefore do not mean that the maximum PoE+ performance is available on each one at the same time.
Gigabit also for the uplink
There is no separate fast SFP+ uplink. If there are several simultaneous transmissions, the shared connection to the rest of the network can become a bottleneck.

Small reception area
An access point, a telephone and a camera are powered via PoE; additional ports connect the workstation and gateway. Before installation, the maximum power consumption is added up and a reserve is planned.
The specific equipment is checked on site based on the requirements.
When does a different model make sense?
The Pro Max 16 PoE offers more ports, a larger PoE budget and faster network connections.

Can all eight ports power devices?
No. Four of the eight gigabit ports support PoE+. The common PoE budget is 52 W.
Does Irontec support planning and setup in Switzerland?
We clarify the deployment, select the additional infrastructure and agree on setup, documentation and ongoing support. Hardware and services are clearly listed in the offer.

Plan and operate appropriately
We size ports, PoE budget and uplinks together. Cabling, optics and power supply must match the planned equipment.
We check port occupancy and power budget based on the connected devices. Redundancy requires suitable remote stations and separate power and connection paths.
