What it's about

Backup & Recovery.
With an eye on your everyday life.

A backup is valuable when the right data is available again at the crucial moment. Irontec will work with you to develop a security concept based on your business processes.

This is in our performance

Thoughtfully planned.
Personally implemented.

Choose the building blocks that suit your initial situation. We determine the scope and support together.

Capture data & applications

Files, mailboxes, application data and configurations are included. The priority depends on the importance to your work and the consequences of a failure.

Set backup targets

We clarify what data loss would be tolerable and how quickly work must continue. This creates understandable requirements for intervals and recovery.

Protect fuses

Storage locations and administrative access are deliberately considered separately. A backup should not be rendered unusable by the same failure or access as the original system.

Local & Cloud Data

Servers, NAS and cloud applications are classified into a common concept. The appropriate backup solution depends on the data type and the recovery supported.

Test backup

We check agreed recovery scenarios and document the results. A technical examination shows whether the retrieved data is actually usable.

Control & Adjustment

New applications and growing data sets must be taken into account. Control messages, storage capacity and retention rules are part of ongoing operations.

AvePoint · Synology · Ubiquiti

Three solutions.
One goal: your data back.

Cloud data, local systems and shared file storage have different requirements. We select the building blocks based on your data and recovery goals.

AvePoint

01 · Back up Microsoft 365 in the cloud

AvePoint Cloud Backup

For companies that want to specifically protect their Microsoft-365 data and restore it without their own backup server.

Data and applications
Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams are part of the backup scope of AvePoint Cloud Backup. We check which objects and restoration methods are required for your environment.
Retrieve targeted
Individual emails or files can be restored from the backup. Depending on the data type, other destinations are also possible. Permissions and retention are determined in advance.
Set up appropriately
Irontec plans the backup scope, administrative access and control messages. Storage region, retention period and scope of services are checked for the selected offer.

Subscription, protected users, scope of services and support determine the costs. Offer on request.

02 · Connect local systems and cloud data

Synology backup

For companies with PCs, servers and Microsoft 365 that want to run backups on their own, suitably sized Synology system.

Active Backup for Business
Centrally back up and monitor supported computers, physical servers, file servers and virtual machines. We check the compatibility of the NAS, the operating systems and the platforms before making the selection.
Active Backup for Microsoft 365
Backup Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint and supported Teams content to Synology NAS. A recovery portal enables the targeted retrieval of data.
Hyper backup for additional copies
Back up selected NAS data and supported packages to a second NAS, external storage, or supported cloud storage. Versioning and storage are tailored to needs.

NAS, suitable drives, additional storage targets, setup and operation are sized separately. Offer on request.

Ubiquiti UniFi

03 · Secure file storage with UniFi Drive

Ubiquiti UNAS

For companies that want to integrate their shared file storage into the UniFi environment and supplement local data with additional backup copies. The UNAS Pro is pictured.

Files and snapshots
UniFi Drive combines file storage on UNAS with snapshot functions. A snapshot retains a previous data status; We plan a separate copy in case the entire device fails.
More backup targets
UNAS data can be backed up to, among other things, another UNAS, an SMB server or supported cloud targets such as S3, Backblaze B2 and Wasabi.
Add OneDrive specifically
UniFi Drive also supports backup of Microsoft-365-OneDrive data to UNAS. We are planning a dedicated backup solution for Exchange, SharePoint and Teams.

UNAS model, drives, usable capacity, additional backup target and support determine the cost. Offer on request.

Find the right combination

What suits your IT?

The solutions can complement each other. For example, AvePoint protects Microsoft 365, while Synology secures local systems and UNAS provides shared file storage.

Exemplary plans

This is what your backup can look like.

Three starting situations – no fixed user limits or ready-made flat-rate packages.

01

Small team with Microsoft 365

A consulting office works with email, Teams and SharePoint. AvePoint is set up for the required cloud content. We test whether an accidentally deleted document and an important email can be specifically retrieved.

02

SMEs with servers and workstations

A company runs local applications and uses Microsoft 365. A compatible Synology system takes over the appropriate backup tasks. An additional copy off-site and a rehearsed restart are part of the planning.

03

Multiple Teams in one UniFi environment

Project files are shared on UNAS. Local snapshots and a second backup destination are scheduled. For Microsoft-365 mailboxes and collaboration, AvePoint or Synology supplements file storage.

Plan for recovery right from the start

RAID helps in case of drive failure. Snapshots make it easier to return to an older state. If an entire device or location is lost, a separate, restoreable backup is required. We plan multiple copies, separate accesses and regular backup tests.

RPO: How many changes can be lost since the last backup? RTO: After how long must it be possible to work again? These goals determine the backup frequency, storage, and restore flow.

Discuss backup concept ↗
This is how the solution can help

Thought from your everyday life.

Example situations – we tailor the specific implementation to your requirements.

01

A project folder was deleted

Individual data should be retrieved without unnecessary interference in ongoing operations. The procedure is determined before the emergency occurs.

02

An important application fails

In addition to the data, dependencies and configurations are also required. The restart is viewed as a complete work process.

03

More data in the cloud

New services are changing the security concept. We check which restoration options already exist and which additions are needed.

Good to understand

Start with the important data

We record where documents, mailboxes, application data and configurations are located. Together we determine which data losses are tolerable and how long a failure can last. These goals determine the backup intervals and recovery paths.

Disconnect backups from ongoing operations

A single copy next to the original system is not sufficient for every failure scenario. We look at separate storage locations, access rights and protection of backups. The solution is tailored to your on-premises infrastructure and cloud services.

Actually check recovery

A successfully completed backup run does not answer all questions. Can individual files be retrieved? Is application data usable? Who can trigger the restart? Planned tests make these points visible.

A concept that remains current

New applications and changed data sets must be included in the backup. We take into account the regular control of backups, notifications and retention rules in the agreed operation.

This is how we get to the result

A clear process.
From the beginning.

One-off implementation and ongoing support are agreed separately and comprehensibly. You know what services are included.

01

Understand

We clarify your requirements and record the current status.

02

Plan

We define the scope, those responsible and the order of implementation.

03

Implement

We set up the solution and check the agreed use cases.

04

Accompany

We hand over the documentation and coordinate further support.

Good to know

Your questions. Clear answers.

Is a synced file already a backup?

Synchronization keeps several files at a similar level. Deletions or unwanted changes can also be adopted. A backup concept also considers separate backups and targeted restores.

How frequently should we back up?

This depends on how many changes are likely to be lost since the last backup. Different intervals may make sense for different data and applications.

Your next step.
