With Ubiquiti UniFi Protect, Irontec plans video surveillance for entrances, business premises, warehouses and larger locations. UniFi cameras, PoE switches and a matching recorder form a coordinated system. We select the devices according to the image section, lighting conditions and recording requirements and set up operation and user rights.

We clarify the purpose, installation locations and relevant image details. Indoor and outdoor areas, lighting conditions and distance determine which UniFi camera makes sense and where.
G6 Turret and G6 Pro Bullet have different focuses on assembly and optics. Depending on the model and equipment, recognition functions help to find relevant personal or vehicle events.
PoE supplies suitable cameras via the data cable. We check the standard per port, the total power budget and the connection to the recorder. A dedicated camera VLAN receives specifically released connections.
The UniFi Network video recorder saves recordings at the location. Hard drive capacity and design are planned according to the number of cameras, resolution, recording type and desired retention period.
Live view, event search and export are only made available to the intended people. We coordinate remote access, account protection and the required authorizations with those responsible.
We check day and night images and explain the operation. Documentation, updates and regular checking of records are part of the operating concept.
The choice of camera depends on the scene. The scope of the system determines the network and recording.
Small location
G6 Turret for specifically selected entrances or rooms. Choose the right Protect console and storage based on the number of cameras and storage period.
Medium-sized company

Large facility & campus
Combine camera types per building and dimension recording with UNVR. The number of recorders, hard drives, network connection and retention period are calculated on a project-specific basis.

Wi-Fi coverage and performance depend on building, device and configuration. EU devices may require a suitable Swiss connection cable. Optional accessories, data carriers and additional paid services are only included if expressly stated.

A suitably positioned camera records the agreed entrance area. We check backlighting, night vision and notifications; the number of cameras depends on the floor plan.
For short distances and an image section that can be specifically adjusted, we compare the G6 Turret and G6 Pro Bullet. PoE switch and UNVR are matched to camera number and retention period.
Multiple camera areas are brought together in a documented Protect system. Permissions, network areas and storage capacity are checked before expansion.
The highest resolution alone does not determine a usable image. At an entrance, the viewing angle and backlighting count; On an access road, distance and detection range are crucial. Comparing G6 Turret and G6 Pro Bullet explains the differences. We plan the image sections for the intended purpose and check the results after assembly.
UniFi Protect records on a suitable console or network recorder such as the UNVR. A separate recorder can separate the recording from the gateway. More cameras, higher image quality and longer storage require more storage. We size the hard drives and network accordingly and check the event search and the export of required excerpts.
Before setting up, we determine who can see live images and access recordings. Remote access and administrative accounts are set up specifically. Storage period, information signs and legal admissibility must be clarified for the specific use before commissioning.
A Protect installation also depends on cabling, PoE supply and network rules. Example: Cameras in a warehouse are located in their own VLAN, reach their UNVR and are only accessible to authorized people. Irontec coordinates these components with each other. When expanding, we re-check camera capacity, memory reserve and power budget.
Camera positions, fields of view, lighting and intended retention determine the design. PoE, networking, a suitable recorder and storage drives are also required. Access permissions and recording are agreed and tested at handover.
